Travels in Tanzania, Kenya and Rwanda – Friday 8 March 2019

Posted on 7 March, 2019 by Ivan

The guest speaker for the March 2019 meeting of the Castlemaine Field Naturalists Club is former club president, long-term committee member, and on-going international adventurer, Nigel Harland. Castlemaine Field Naturalists Club has around 100 members. Some have incredible specialist knowledge and others are beginners. All members have an interest in nature and the natural world.

Nigel’s talk is titled ‘Travels in Tanzania, Kenya and Rwanda’.  Those who have attended his talks from previous adventures will know what an entertaining and knowledgeable person he is, as well as a perceptive photographer.

Nigel says ‘The talk will relate to a three week trip to Tanzania, Kenya and Rwanda which Anne and I did last year. It rained for much of the time, but since we were not allowed out of the vehicle, that didn’t make any difference. We saw many birds and animals, in fact probably too many! For reasons I will explain, Rwanda was the highlight.’

Talk: Travels in Tanzania, Kenya and Rwanda
When: Friday 8 March 2019 from 7.30 pm
Where: Fellowship Room, behind the Uniting Church on Lyttleton St, Castlemaine VIC (next door to Castlemaine Art Museum).

The talk is open to both members and visitors – bring along friends and family. Tea and snacks available afterwards. There is no cost for attendance.
