The Bendigo Art Gallery is holding an exhibition about mapping in relation to central Victoria. It will take place at the Post Office Gallery, 51-67 Pall Mall, Bendigo from 22 March to 16 June. The Art Gallery website describes the exhibition as follows:

Mapping great change: the landscape of central Victoria explores significant historical and cultural changes occurring upon and within the landscape of central Victoria following the advent of European occupation. Historical maps tell of a landscape radically transformed by agriculture, mining and mass settlement and illuminate layers of stories underpinned by the specific geological composition of the area and its rich resources.

An important early map known as the Selwyn map will be featured in the exhibition. Background information about this map and the map itself can be found on the FOBIF website.
