Landholders have a responsibility to manage weeds on their land. It is important to identify weeds that may pose a threat and then implement a plan to prevent weed establishment or spread. There are various ways to manage and control weeds, ranging from hand weeding to chemical treatment to biological control.

Successful weed management typically involves integrated approach using a mix of control techniques suited to a particular situation and extending over a number of years.  Regular monitoring and follow up management is required.
