Friends of the Box-Ironbark Forests – walk

Wewak Track
A loop walk near the Wewak Track including a section of the Great Dividing Trail where it passes one of Charlie Sanger’s huts. This southern part of the Castlemaine Diggings National Heritage Park has wonderful native flora and hopefully the spectacular Matted-bush Pea will be in flower. c.5km. Our walks are on Sundays, they are free and non-members are welcome. We meet at 9.30am outside 30 Templeton Street, Castlemaine (Castlemaine Community House) and carpool to the start of the walk. Bring water, morning tea and lunch. Walks usually finish mid afternoon. Walks are cancelled on Total Fire Ban days in the area.
